AGE OF OPULENCE

(Kirchhoff) 30" E Re Ex VFR Sev 6". (Sib to Joy & Laughter).
Perhaps it's the glorious, heavily ornamented golden yellow blooms in
great profusion that are the essence of Age of opulence. Its blooms
open early, and the form is precise and flat, with petals over 3"
wide - ornately bordered with piecrust edges and looping, scalloped
ruffles. The sepals are slightly recurved. The texture is smooth and
diamond-dusted. Both substance and color hold well beyond 16 hours.
A perfect plant, completely ideal for the garden - and the show table
as well. The strongly recurrent scapes have wide branching 4 - 6 way
and up to 45 buds. Very limited. (Kathleen Salter X Bill Norris)
