DUTCH YELLOW TRUFFLE

(Kirchhoff) 30" E RE EX VFR EV 6".
A distinction that few doubles achieve is to win the rosette for best
seedling in an AHS show. (Only red flowers are more commonly overlooked
by the judges). DUTCH YELLOW won the rosette for best seedling at the
Sunbelt Chapter's 2003 daylily show. It is a bright and beautiful, true
lemon yellow, (RHS color chart 13A) petaloid formed double with pastel
medium rose-coral halo above a yellow to green throat. The form is very
wide and full - usually with 6 extra petaloids. The petals are rounded
and lightly ruffled. Sepals turn down. Petaloids are crested and ruffled.
Smooth, diamond dusted texture. Sunfast color and substance. The strongly
recurrent scapes have 4 way branching. A fabulous parent, fertile both
ways. 99.1% double.
