GENTLEMAN OF VERONA

Morss. 30'' E RE EX SEV 7''. Evocations of immense lunar moths, dappled
in yellow, cream and lavender, dance on the wind. Flowers are hues of
palest yellow-cream with illusive and complexly patterned eyezones,
composed of shaded pewter-lavender within a webbed outline of amethyst-violet.
(The patterned eyezone is seen as an amethyst colored butterfly wing
filled with shades of French blue lavender and slate on the petals,
and in the diffused watermark eye of the sepals.) Above the green throat,
the amethyst color is diffused with yellow, 1/4'' into the base of the
eyezone. Color and substance hold quite well and the texture is diamond
dusted. The exotic form is wide and overlapped though the petals are
so long several observers thought it was a UFO. The scapes have 3 way
branching, and are strongly recurrent. Fertile, and a superb parent,
both ways. GERDA BROOKER X (SEEDLING X GRAPE EXPECTATIONS). $125.00
