(Kirchhoff) 30" E Re Ex Ev 6" Glorious burgundy with alluring overtones of blue and subtle hints of chocolate fire the complex color of this sensational new red. Its watermark halo is shades of garnet, ruby and ripe cherry. The color's intensity and beauty, the extraordinary width of petals, the super long season, and the well branched scapes combine to near perfection . The small green throat outlined in yellow, sets the flower off spectacularly. The form is full and round. The 3" wide petals have piecrust to looping, ruffled edges. Texture is smooth. Blooms hold well in our bright sun. Possibly the red of 2001. The scapes have three - five way branching and are strongly recurrent. Fine parent. Fertile both ways.
