MERITAGE

(Kirchhoff) 32" EM Re Ex Ev 5 ½"-6" Meritage (rhymes with heritage) is a word the California wine people made up a few years back to name a wonderful red wine blend. This new red is a rich wine color with a lighter watermark and yellow to green throat. In 1997 we considered Meritage to be our best wine red of the year. Its superior beauty cannot be denied when given light shade. Moderately sunfast substance and color. The form is very full, with wide overlapped segments. Petals are up to 3" wide.
