PEGGY TURMAN

(Kirchhoff) 24" L Re Ex Sev 6". Named for Nashville's Peggy
Turman, prominent daylily connoisseur and judge, virtuoso pianist and
chef extraordinaire. This daylily is quite likely be the quintessential
double pink daylily for years to come. A total self, Peggy Turman is
clearer, tastier, and more sunfast in color and substance than any baby
pink ribbons ever tested! The form is full and round, consistently displaying
3 sets of petals in the hose-in-hose style. Visitor after visitor has
commented that this is the most beautiful double daylily they've ever
seen. Even gardeners who don't care for doubles have stopped to admire
it - and asked to reserve a plant. The large, vigorous plants display
the blooms above upright foliage on strongly recurrent, well-branched
scapes. Peggy Turman is a difficult, though not impossible parent, and
a consummate garden plant. Stock is very limited.
(Frances Joiner X Virginia Franklin Miller) 100% double.
