PLEATS AND PUCKERS

Rice-Morss. 28'' L FR RE EX SEV 6'' x 3 1/4'' x 2''. Some few years ago, a young horticulturalist named John Rice, of Thoroughbred Daylilies, shared seed from promising state-of-the-art daylily parents with myriad denizens of daylilydom, near and far. This extraordinary frilled flower is a lemon yellow pastel with a peach overlay in the halo area. The peach halo looks appliquéd (if not embossed) above the yellow throat and chartreuse heart. It is a most exceptional one of more than 2000 seedlings shared by John. The hallmark of this opulently formed daylily is the deeply articulated, ornate edging laced with piecrust and pleated looping ruffles. Texture is smooth, and the substance and color hold extremely well in the very hottest sun. Strongly recurrent scapes. Difficult pods, powerful pollen. Supply is very limited. (IDA'S MAGIC X DECATUR ARISTOCRAT). $150.00
