Kirchhoff. 30'' EE RE EX EV 6''. A Rolls Royce of a daylily, big and powerful, remarkably opulent and rich. The blooms are saturated in cardinal to cherry red with a broad, pointed, triangular throat. The throat pattern reaches almost midway onto both petals and sepals. An EMO with full, flat overlapped form. The warmer the weather, the more recurved the form becomes. Petals on early bloom measure 3 1/4'' in width. Toward midseason, the effect is a round red flower. This photo was taken in June. Texture is smooth, substance and color hold well - without spotting in the full hot sun. The scapes are strongly recurrent with 3 - 5 way branching and 20 or more buds.
