VENETIAN BAROQUE

(Morss) 26" EE Re Ex Ev 5 ¾". A complex heritage
elevates this eyed and edged daylily to a new plateau within the gene-pool.
The pear yellow color is tinted with a distinctly colored eyezone in
a concentrated blend of rich currant, wild berry and dark cherry shades,
repeated on the edges of the petals. A bright yellow to green throat
adds great contrast. An early morning opener, the form is full, and
the blooms open early. The petals are 3" wide, overlapped, and
widespread. The sepals are slightly recurved. Both color and substance
cope well throughout the season - especially for an EE, EMO! The strongly
recurrent scapes have 4 - 6 way branching with 40 plus buds. A fine
parent, producing well-branched seedlings in many colors with variously
colored eyes , edges and patterns. Unusually fertile pod and pollen.
